The real story behind the Spirit rover’s longevity.

This is so true! Especially now that I don’t live by myself.

So I was in Taiwan for a week over summer, and I couldn’t help but notice examples of ‘Engrish’ (aka ‘Chinglish’) in many places. As it was also my first week having a camera phone, I decided to document every occasion of ‘Engrish’ that I spotted.

Apparently, they decided to clamp down hard on offenders who violate the rule. So yes, you better know what THE RULE is.

They had better be pretty sorry that their equipment was out of control. Luckily its just a screen and not some robot with a mind of its own.

This might be a little hard to decipher during an emergency.

After reading their explanation, I think I’m pretty unpuzzled.

Pretty self explanatory, this one.
Surprisingly, when I got back to Singapore, I spotted a few excellent examples as well. Usually, these are pretty hard to come by in Singapore.

I think someone had just learned past tense in their ESL class.

This might also make a really cool tag line for a sex-ed program.

Moral of the story: The next time you see a news report about scientific discoveries on TV, take it with a pinch of salt.

This quote from a hockey website made me laugh.

“Goaltending is a normal job, sure. How would you like it in your job if every time you made a small mistake, a red light went on over your desk and 20,000 people stood up and yelled at you?”

Apparently Ricki doesn’t like the fact that most guys watch sports (a sweeping generalization here). She was blaming everything on men’s penchant for watching sports.

Here’s an extract of the conversation we had that got us laughing so hard in the library…

Ricki: Why did Eve eat the forbidden fruit? Because Adam was not there to stop her! He was too busy watching sports!!

All the guys: ?!?! What sports?!

Ricki: Animal sport! Like 2 ants fighting or something…

Guys: -_-”

Later on…

Me: The United Nations are ineffective. They are going to go the way of the League of Nations.

Ricki: How can you say that?

Me: There’s going to be World War 3 and they won’t be able to stop it.

Ricki: What?

Me: Yeah, coz you women prevent men from watching sports SO WE HAVE TO FIGHT A WAR INSTEAD!
(Ricki thinks that sports is just a substitute for war, so I just turned her theory back on her. )

Ricki: … …

Here’s the Simpsons’ take on Apple – the basic premise being that the Springfield Mall gets a “Mapple” store and everyone buys MyPods, MyPhones, and MyCubes. There’s even an announcement by Steve Mobs!

This is hilarious!!

On the other hand, I should be studying instead of watching online videos. :S

Ok, this is probably old news but I just listened to it and found it really hilarious! And the fact that the two comedians are from Montreal make it even more awesome!
