Poison & Wine
I never fail to discover great new music on Grey’s Anatomy! This week, its “Poison & Wine” by The Civil Wars.

So why do I worry?
Why do I freak out?
God knows what I need
You know what I need-Jon Foreman
A really powerful song that I was introduced to over the weekend. There is so much contained in the words of the song that I was tempted to just paste all the lyrics here. Take a look at the words in the song as you listen to it. It really moved me when I first heard the song. And it was fitting that I heard it in the car as we were driving out to the Eastern Townships to admire God’s creation.
This is one of my favorite shots of the whole trip. It came right at the end as we made our way home. We crossed a river just as the sun was setting and we decided to turn back to stop along the side of the river and admire the sunset.
A really wonderful song that I learned to sing at NSLC during one of our worship sessions. It’s by the group Selah who grew up in the Congo as missionary kids. They sing many Congolese songs but this one is the first one I’ve heard. The words are really simple to learn and very catchy!
Yesu azali awa (Jesus is here)
Verse 1:
Yesu azali awa
Yesu azali awa
Yesu azali awa na biso (Jesus is here with us)
Chorus:
(Yasolo)
Alleluya, Alleluya, Alleluya, na Yesu
(Yesu mwana N’zambe)
Alleluya, Alleluya, Alleluya, na Yesu
Verse 2:
Biso toko komo kuna (We are going there)
Biso toko komo kuna
Biso toko koma kuna na lola (We are going there to Heaven)
[Many thanks to the blog Notes from Nigera for the lyrics and translation of the song.]
My playlist has been updated with the new songs from episode 4. Check it out!
Finally found the time to update the playlist with as much of the music from Grey’s Anatomy as I could find. They are all at the back of the playlist. Enjoy!
Some really wonderful music from the first episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 5. Some of the music couldn’t be found on imeem but could be found on youtube so I put both playlists here but there’s some overlap in songs between the 2.
This is a song written for the victims of the China earthquake that i came across on youtube. Found the lyrics quite well-written and very moving. It’s sung by Jackie Chan.
Even though they’re out of the headlines now, the victims of the earthquake are still in dire need. It’s going to be a long, long time before they can get back any semblance of a normal life. Let’s continue to keep them in prayer and try to support them in any way that we can.
